The Centre

The Centre Pharmapeptides was founded in 1994 as a joint venture between the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences of the Université Claude Bernard in Lyon (France) and Geneva University (Switzerland). It is maintained under the auspices of the Association Pharmapeptides, a French not-for-profit organization.

The Centre Pharmapeptides is dedicated to higher learning and research in the area of biopharmaceutical sciences and is currently home to the group of Prof. Gerrit Borchard (Biopharmaceutical Sciences) of the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences Geneva-Lausanne (EPGL) at the University of Geneva.

The Centre Pharmapeptides offers approximately 300 m2 of lab space, including cell culture facilities, chemical synthesis, biochemistry and molecular biology labs. It is furnished with equipment for HPLC, TLC, qPCR, GelDoc, cell-based and biochemical assays, organic synthesis facilities and biopharmaceutical test systems.

The Technopole’s meeting and conference facilities adjacent to the Centre Pharmapeptides offer the opportunity for events hosting up to 500 participants.
